Whether you have served four years or twenty-four years, leaving the armed forces can be a challenge. Most of us heard rumours and experiences from the best to the worst. Resettlement can be a minefield of advice, occasionally that advice can be ill informed, for example when I chose to take the International Transport Managers CPC as part of my resettlement, I was told it was the wrong course for me, by someone who had no experience in my chosen industry, this advice was purely based on my job role as an infantry soldier. If I had taken that advice I would not be where I am today.

Since leaving the Army I have experienced nearly every position within the haulage industry, Forklift driver, HGV driver, Daily planning of 60+ vehicles, Transport Manager, Pallet networks, HGV manufacturing, Vehicle Maintenance, Driver CPC training, HGV Instructing, Auditing, Agencies, Consulting, Public Inquiries... The list grows daily.

But more importantly, I did all of this off the back of my military resettlement, I have seen the highs and the lows, I have heard the rumours from the barrack room lawyers and I have seen the reality with my own eyes.
